Pro-net21 signed MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Laos's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry for a livelihood improvement project for rural poor with increased rice yields by SRI.
|Pro-net21 signed MOU with Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Department of Irrigation, for "the livelihood improvement project for rural poor in Central and Northern Laos with increased rice yields by a low-input paddy cultivation method (System of Rice Intensification: SRI)".
The singing ceremony for the project went into the headlines of the Vientiane Times, the national English language newspaper, on December 31st, 2007, and the high expectations can be seen in the article.
